Neptec UK (NUK) engineers are currently conducting field trials of the NUK designed AVATAR Rover at a quarry outside Cambridge. Compact and light with a range of 4.5 km, the AVATAR Rover is able to carry a payload of 100 kg and can fit in the boot of a mid-sized car.

Designed and developed by Neptec UK, the AVATAR Rover is built with low cost, off the shelf parts and  is being used as a test bed to test data fusion algorithms developed in collaboration with Surrey Space Centre as part of the CREST 3 program with the UK Space Agency.
